I think this was probably every zombies player first thought when seeing this building. It just looks like something you would see in zombies.

ThatKindaSourGuy

No way I remember seeing that post lol, and dont look at my age to make sure my reddit account auto logged out so i just made a new one

JustThat0neGuy

Was your old account from Canada so we don’t know it?

And people still complained…

Imagine playing a gamemode that has historically relied on reused assets and put their own stylistic twist on things and complaining when we want stylisticly twisted reused assets. Zombies never needed its own dedicated assets, but while it has used them sometimes (Mob, Origins, Gorod, etc.,.), most of the biggest homeruns have been largely reused from campaign or mp (Der Riese, Ascension, Firebase Z, much of Der Eisendrache, etc.,.). Hell, I would say most maps were reused ideas from campaign or MP.

Furdron01

Imagine making majority of all maps mostly ripped from other modes in their entirety after an entire decade of moving past that, and games from over 5 years ago having entire custom mechanics and maps that weren’t ripped from another mode. Your excuses are pathetic. This isn’t 2010, ripping entire maps from mp and campaign and putting them into zombies isn’t simply using assets, it’s taking huge portions. Look at bo3 and 4 maps and tell me majority of those maps are taken from mp and campaign, same with the mechanics.

daniel97tom

> Look at bo3 and 4 maps and tell me majority of those maps are taken from mp and campaign, same with the mechanics. While it is true that they're not taken from campaign or mp, close to a majority of it was reused assets anyways. BO3: The Giant + Zombie Chronicles is just reused content from previous games. BO4: All four Aether maps are infamous amongst fans for being close to remakes. I too like original content like BO3's SoE-GK maps and BO4's Chaos maps but don't paint the previous history of games as a downward trend of reused assets when it's always been reusing assets from somewhere, even more than BO:CW does now.

Furdron01

Dude. You don’t get it. Verrukt, nacht, der rise, are LITERALLY parts of the campaign and just made into zombie maps. Shang, moon, kino, none are pulled from campaign or mp, five and ascension are. In bo2, none of the maps are ripped from campaign or mp, besides nuketown obv. In bo3, none of the maps are taken from campaign or multiplayer. So they remastered maps... that’s irrelevant. The argument is just ripping most of a map from campaign or mp and acting like that’s the same as using a door or wall asset. Same with bo4, yes it sucked the aether maps were all remasters, but they still didn’t just take campaign and mp maps from the game and put zombies on them. We are far far beyond zombie maps being mostly just reused mp and campaign maps.

Yeah... You clearly have no idea what you're talking about.

Furdron01

Here’s an idea, instead of being worthless, explain. Because I gave an actual proven reason why you’re wrong, and you gave nothing. As usual you people just say “you’re wrong” and have nothing to back it up. So tell me, how do I have no idea what I’m talking about. Go ahead, try.

Do you even play Zombies? >Look at BO3 and 4 maps and tell me majority of those maps are taken from mp and campaign Black Ops 4's Aether story was entirely reused maps. Two of these maps were reused from other modes entirely, 2/3 floors of Classified came from Black Ops' campaign, and Area 51 came from a Black Ops MP map. Alpha-Omega was entirely reused from Blackout, even the lower area. Blood of the Dead was also reused since the expanded parts of the island you could travel to were reused in/from Blackout's Alcatraz Island! Now I'm not going to act like Chaos took largely from campaign or multiplayer because it didn't, and I'm not saying it's one of the reasons for this, but look at how poorly Chaos was received. However, I do think Chaos' atmosphere was great and it could be seen as a bad thing that we lost its originality. Black Ops 3 largely took from Campaign and MP as well! You honestly can't look at Der Eisendrache, having played campaign, and tell me Infection and Demon Within's assets aren't reused to high hell! You ***cannot*** tell me The Giant doesn't count here either because its entire atmosphere and parts of the layout are from Nightfire. Revelations, while mostly reused Zombies maps, also comes from old WaW and Black Ops 3 MP assets as well in Nacht, Verruckt, and Der Eisendrache. On top of that, it also takes from the campaign missions Life, Demon Within, and SOG. You know what makes your argument here dumb as hell? You clearly didn't even name Black Ops 2 or you would have said that instead of Black Ops 3 or 4 since Black Ops 2 reused the ***least, if anything,*** from Campaign and Multiplayer. God, you really didn't play any of these games, did you? >This isn’t 2010, ripping entire maps from mp and campaign and putting them into zombies isn’t simply using assets, it’s taking huge portions. Kino der Toten, Shangri-La, and Call of the Dead don't take entire maps, if anything at all except a boat in Call of the Dead, and reuse them. Moon's spawn is from Hanger 18 (and even then it's just a *square*, oh no, a square was ripped, what a travesty to my argument!), but everything else is completely original. Everything you said was wrong, so none of your supporting arguments even supported your point (if you even had one). As long as the map flows well, is fun to play, and has an atmosphere dedicated to zombies, I don't think it matters how much you do or don't take from mp/campaign, I don't honestly think anyone cares about how much you do or don't take from other gamemodes. Just make it fun.

Dude you're so mad, you keep moving goalposts here when I'm just right, and like half of this comment is just telling me I'm stupid, so you're not even worth arguing with

Furdron01

Translating your bullshit: “I have no valid points and am gonna leave because I’m wrong and won’t admit it.”

Fapping-Guy69

It always sucking ass isn't an excuse for it to suck ass now. I don't understand why you people think this is a killer argument.

jenkumboofer

if you think it always sucked why are you even here lmao

Fapping-Guy69

Big brain time.

JustThat0neGuy

Legit their Twitter is full of exactly that

TheZombiesGuy

Wouldn't be surprised if they chose this location out of all the other campaign missions because literally everyone was saying how cool it would be.

Invictable

I’m almost 100% sure they didn’t intend to do something like this but with time were forced to, but I’m glad it’s this because it will still be cool.

Drop-a-Titan-on-it

Put a swastika on it and it could fit perfectly into some alternate history „nazis won the war this is how it would look like 30 years later“ story. That building just looks evil

Ineedmorebread

Our final map is a campaign rip? Not played campaign since launch. Was that the building with the fake town inside?

IEATZOMB13Z

Yes

-ieatass666-

i mean it was pretty obvious this was gonna be the next map since they are reusing all the campaign missions

shitpostlord4321

I hope we can fight in and out of it, I even want to get at the very top.

jackatron1

It seems like a cool idea but a little disappointing at the same time, it is what it is I guess

Furdron01

These excuses are pathetic. This isn’t 2010, ripping entire maps from mp and campaign and putting them into zombies isn’t simply using assets, it’s taking huge portions and it’s unacceptable. Look at bo3 and bo4 maps and tell me majority of those maps are taken from mp and campaign of their games, same with the mechanics. Stop defending blatant laziness. No one is mad zombies uses mp and campaign assets. But CW does it for the majority of things and they’re usually blatant, not even reskinned or anything.

Ajroach632

Going a bit overboard but get what you mean. Treyarch overtook cold war halfway through development so they have had the least amount of time ever to work on this game while also in an outdated engine. It was bound to not be as expansive. Gotta be real about the situation they're not magic. I feel like I'm the only one that is super super excited that treyarch are only focusing just on zombies in vanguard and get to be in the mw engine plus it's ww2. Back to where we started finally with world at war.
